Explanation
The Federal Republic of Germany was founded on May 23, 1949, marking a crucial step in the post-war order. After World War II and the period of National Socialism, it was essential to establish a democratic and constitutional framework to learn from the past. The founding of the Federal Republic signified the beginning of a new era of political stability and integration into the Western community.
